| Marco Streccioni
Marco Streccioni started working in Sonic Recording Studios in Rome in 1975. As assistant and sound engineer he has participated in the realization of numerous album recordings of some of the most famous Italian singers, such as: Domenico Modugno, Gianni Moranti, Patty Pravo, Renato Zero, just to name a few among them.
In 1980. he was invited to work for Forum Recording Studios, a company specialized in album and original film music score recording. In the beginning Streccioni continued working on album projects, however, it is in this studio where Straccioni started making his way into the film music world, helping more and more often the most distinguished Italian film music sound engineer Sergio Marcotulli. Apart from recording music for Italian composers, he has had the opportunity to participate in film music recordings with American musicians, such as: Jerry Goldsmith, Leonard Bernstein, Bill Conti, etc.
The main reason for Streccioni to embark upon a career in the film music business was the invitation from one of the biggest film music Italian publishing companies - CAM, in 1985. They proposed him a management position in their film music recording studios. In this studio, among many others, was mixed the music for Il postino, composed by Luis Bacalov, winner of an Oscar for Best Original Soundtrack.
In 1995, Marco Streccioni founded Sud Ovest Records, a company engaged in the organization, recording and realization of film music. Here are some of the names Streccioni has worked with: Ennio Morricone, Luis Bacalov, Pino Donaggio, Carlo Siliotto, Nicola Piovani, Leonard Rosenmann, Andrea Guerra, Manuel De Sica, Stelvio Cipriani, Eric Demarsan, Evan Lurie, Carlo Savina, Piero Umiliani, Andrea Bocelli, etc.
So far, Streccioni has recorded more than 400 original film score, as well as numerous albums and theater projects. Marco Streccioni has recorded over 150 different projects with SIF309 Film&Music Productions.
